Only one program is offered, combining 20 group lessons + 6 individual lessons. Click Here for further information.

Course - What time should students arrive on the first day?

Invitation to 8h00. Welcome meeting begins at 8h05.

Courses - Is level C2 available?

Courses - What is the minimum number of participants per class?

A class starts with 5 participants.

Courses - Which program for Bildungsurlaub? (Employees in Germany only)

Recognitions are underway for all KLF schools and should be received by Q2 2024 at the latest.

2 programs will be accredited according to the specific criteria of the Lands :
* program super-intensive (40 lessons/week) : 480€ per week + registration fee
* course BU 30 special lessons consisting of the INTENSIVE course (26 lessons) + 4 lessons (activity / visit and tutoring) : 340€ per week + registration fee

Courses - What is KLF's Junior Program?

In 2024, the program is offered only in the following 3 KLF schools: Annecy, Montpellier and Toulouse.

Exams - How do I prepare for the Delf-Dalf exams?

Preparation for the Delf-Dalf exams can be done either during the individual lessons of the combined program (20+6), or during the specific online program.

> The combined course 20+6 is available all year round.
> The online program offered twice a year is organized by Langue Onze Toulouse-KLF  and sessions will end before 2 of the official exam dates. (The exam preparation program does not include exam registration)

Exams - Where and when can I take a Delf-Dalf exam?

Until Lyon Bleu is accredited as a Delf-Dalf examination center (during 2024), students can register with one of the current centers at Lyon.

Our partnership continues with the ILCF, whose calendar and rates were published in September.

Exams - Programs with exams included

Examinations included in long-term programs certifying or diploma courses will be organized in the school. Until Lyon Bleu becomes a Delf-Dalf examination center, the school will be able to register students with one of Lyon 's examination centers if necessary.

Rates include search and follow-up fees. (Agency commission does not apply to housing).

Accommodation - How much does it cost to find a place to stay?

All accommodation prices include search and placement fees.

Accommodation - What special diets are subject to surcharges?

All diets with an impact on ingredient purchasing and preparation (vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, food allergies, etc.).

Accommodation - What options are available at extra cost?

Students requesting one of the following options must pay the indicated weekly supplement:

  • special diet or food allergy
  • private bathroom
  • 20 minutes maximum on foot from the school

Options are cumulative and will be confirmed and calculated according to availability.

Miscellaneous - What sustainable development initiatives are in place at Lyon Bleu ?

Lyon Bleu uses digital technology for the entire enrolment process, as well as for the course materials made available to students.

Recycling bins are available in the school.

Motion detection is installed on most lighting in common areas.

The water fountain is provided without a cup: everyone must use their own bottle.

Important!

Before sending the application to agent@lyon-bleu.frIt is essential to read our general conditions.

Processing the application for registration

Upon receipt of the registration form (*) sent to agent@lyon-bleu.frthe case is taken over and processed by one of the our stay coordinators who is your main contact for the follow-up of the file concerned (availability, confirmation of registration, booking of accommodation, payment, reception, quality follow-up, etc.).

Lyon Bleu will confirm registration by e-mail within 24 hours and request payment.

Full payment is requested 30 days before the start of the course.

The reservation will only be fully confirmed on receipt of the requested payment.

Lyon Bleu International reserves the right to cancel the registration if these fees are not paid in due time.

Minor students

Lyon Bleu may exceptionally accept minor students from 16 years old provided they are mature enough to behave appropriately and integrate a group class of adults.

A specific procedure will apply involving official declaration signed by the parents and the student.

The student did his written test: What are the results?

In order to ensure optimum learning conditions, it is very important to do the level test as early as possible. The results of this test will not be communicated but will allow our pedagogical team to confirm that the registration is compatible with the assessed level (type of course, duration...) and to reserve a place in the group suitable to its level.

Can I register a student at the last minute?

Lyon Bleu can accept enrolments up to the week before arrival according to availabilities.

The student must at first complete the online written test: Please contact admin@lyon-bleu.fr and advise the name of the student and the program requested: after validation of his written test, one of our stay coordinators will inform you of the availabilities and confirm the registration if possible.

Attention! No accommodation request will be taken into account within 4 days prior arrival (= Wednesday before arrival in Lyon!)

What is included in the course fee?

Level-testing, course tuition, guided tour of the city centre on the first Monday, certificate of attendance and level at the end of the program, free use of library (books, DVDs), facilities and the multimedia room.

First day of school

The week before the start of the program, the reference coordinator sends a message to the student: it contains useful information to prepare the arrival in Lyon and at Lyon Bleu including the link to the online Student toolbox (Welcome Guide to Lyon Bleu, various information about Lyon..) .

 

Unless otherwise instructed, the student must be present at Lyon Bleu International the first Monday of the program at 8:00 a.m. for the school presentation.

On their first day at Lyon Bleustudents are invited to take part in the free guided tour of Lyon, organized every Monday.

Insurance

It is the responsibility of all students to have sufficient insurance to deal with all contingencies, including medical coverage, property and cancellation of courses.

It is the responsibility of the agent to inform the student of that.

Important!

The client is committed with beginning his visa application procedures early enough to ensure the proper processing of the registration (at least 2 months in advance) and to be able to obtain his visa 30 days before the start of his program (i.e. on the payment deadline of the program balance).

Registration and certificate (Letter of acceptance)

A pre-registration certificate will be provided after receipt of the payment of the deposit.

Important: Students agree to apply for their entry visa to France with sufficient advance time (at least two months in advance) in order to facilitate their enrolment and in order to obtain their visa at least 4 weeks prior to the course date (that is the deadline for payment of the balance of fees owing).
All students must take the necessary steps to inform themselves of the conditions necessary for obtaining a visa to enter France before beginning the registration procedure or making any payments to Lyon Bleu International. Lyon Bleu International cannot be held responsible for any changes in the terms or conditions for entry to France. LBI will provide a certificate of pre-registration upon payment of the deposit as indicated in paragraph 5.1. LBI will send this document by email and by regular mail upon request by the student.

If requested by the student, LBI will send the document by DHL if the student pays for this service in advance.

Upon Receipt of the Entry Visa

Lyon Bleu must be informed as soon as the visa is granted by the french authorities.

After receipt of the visa, and no later than 4 weeks before the course start date, students must pay the balance of all fees owing for their program. If LBI has not received notice from the student indicating that the visa has been received, then LBI will send an email to the student 4 weeks before the course start date requesting this information. If the student does not reply to LBI within 48 hours, LBI will cancel the course enrolment and accommodation reservation.

If Lyon Bleu Did not receive the necessary information, a reminder email will be sent 30 days before the start of the courses. Without answer within 48 hours, the registration and reservation of accommodation will be suspended.

In case of delay in the procedure of obtaining a visa

Paragraph of the internal regulations

The student can maintain the original course start date or change the course start date.

– If he wishes to maintain the initial dates, and he is certain that the visa will be issued on time, Lyon Bleu requests the full payment of the remaining balance no later than 30 days before the starting date of the courses.

- If they wish to change the start date of the course because the visa will be issued too late, the start date of the course can be postponed 

- Any new request to postpone the date will be charged 80€. However, in this case Lyon Bleu cannot guarantee the same accommodation conditions if the new date is set more than 3 weeks after the initial date.

In the event of a visa refusal

The visa is refused and the student  cancel its programme:

  • If the cancellation request is more than 18 days before the course start date, a penalty of €100 will be withheld. The fees for registration and housing research (if a dwelling has been requested) are non-refundable.
  • If the request to cancel is received by LBI less than 18 days before the course start date, the deposit will be refunded less a penalty equal to 10% of the course fees to a maximum of 450€. The registration fee and the accommodation booking fee (if accommodation was requested) are non-refundable.

 

Can the student arrive in his accommodation on a Saturday or leave on a Sunday?

  • Family accommodation: arrivals are scheduled for the Sunday before the first lesson and departures for the Saturday after the last lesson. Additional nights are subject to availability and will be charged extra.

Attention! During the months of July and August, it is not possible to book more than one extra night before and/or after the stay (arrival on Saturdays and/or departure on Sundays).


  • Accommodation in a hotel residence : Arrivals are scheduled on Sunday before the first course and departures on Saturday after the last course. Any request for additional night (s) must be subject to the availability of the residence and are charged in addition (rate calculated at night)

  • Accommodation in a student residence : The reception of the residences is closed during the weekend, the student will have to arrive necessarily during business hours, Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 13:00 or between 14:00 and 16:30.

If nevertheless the student arrives while the reception of the residence is closed, he will have to stay at the hotel at his own expense for the total of necessary nights and he will enter the residence on the first Monday according to the appointment to be set by the manager of the residence.

Payment and bank details

If the payment is made by bank transfer, it is understood that the student/agency is responsible for the payment of all associated bank charges.

Cooperation Agreement

New partnership requests are handled by the KLF sales manager. agent@klf.fr and include all KLF Group schools.
