Online courses available at Lyon Bleu during the period of confinement

We are delighted to be able to continue to offer our students the opportunity and pleasure of learning French with the following French course programs, with a remote format :

• General French semi intensive
• General French Standard
• Intensive general French
• Combined general French : Semi-Intensive 1 and 2, Standard 1 and 2 and Intensive 1 and 2
• One-to-one French course
• Professional French business courses
• Delf Dalf Exam Preparation Course
• University Preparation Courses

Classes take place every day from Monday to Friday.

Course schedules will be adapted to correspond to a maximum number of time zones on all continents.

 

All other courses are suspended from 16/03/2020 until the borders reopen.

Virtual classes

For each course, you will receive a link to Zoomthe easy-to-use virtual classroom and videoconferencing application that the Lyon Bleu has chosen for distance learning courses.

Zoom is available on computers, tablets and mobile phones.

We recommend downloading the software Zoom free of charge for an optimal experience.

Zoom was chosen for its qualities very close to what can be developed in a traditional class:

• Permanent visual and oral contact with the teacher throughout the course
• Interaction with the teacher and other students
• Ability to speak and ask questions like in a real classroom
• Possibility for the teacher to work with the usual syllabus from Lyon Bleu for each level and to offer the usual material custom-made by the teacher each week.
• Possibility for the teacher to animate his lesson in a structured way while keeping the spontaneity of a traditional course
• Possibility for the teacher to correct, write on the (virtual) blackboard and work on all language skills, oral and written comprehension and expression.

The pedagogy of Lyon Bleu had already for several months a more digital form, our teachers are accustomed to working with several digital or non-digital applications and to expressing their creativity and professionalism on a variety of supports adapted to all audiences.

So, Students will be able to communicate with their teacher and progress in their learning. in French while at home in a safe environment.

Our teachers will be able to be in contact with the students through Zoom or another application to send resources to be used and exercises to be done before or after the course.

In order to be fully prepared and to keep the courses as effective as they usually are, the following materials are required:

• A computer, tablet or mobile phone with the application Zoom
• An Internet connection
• A webcam with a microphone

Online Resources

In addition to courses with our teachers, we recommend using the following online resources to stay in touch with French culture and to complement your online courses:

TV5 Monde which is a French television channel, broadcasting several channels of programming in French.

In addition to the online courses with our teachers, we continue to offer one to two tutoring session(s) per level: deepening points seen in class, help with homework, additional resources on request.

Registration is open for summer and fall!

We are planning distance learning courses for a selection of our programs (see list) until the borders reopen.

We can accept registrations for a course at Lyon Bleu in traditional class with a start of the program on 15/06/2020
